Why spend millions of dollars on expensive CGI when you could just do this instead? Need a TV monster with the body of a human and the head of an ostrich? Don’t shell out for fancy special effects or expensive prosthetics. As one clever photographer shows us, all you have to do it grab a newspaper, fold it in half, and you’re good to go.

I think the prankster who took these photos is trying to show all of us public transit commuters out there how to curb bus boredom — and how to save a bucketload on special effects. Hey, the creators of Doctor Who (which is known for its notoriously bad CGI) could definitely take a page out of this guy’s book.
