This Tattoo Artist Takes His Kids’ Line Drawings and Colors Them In. The Effect Is Pretty Magical.

When tattoo artist Frank Giovannitti goes away on a 10-day business trip each month, he has his kids each make him a drawing that he can take with him on the plane. Then, he passes the time on his flight by coloring in the pictures with colored pencils, in the same style he’d using to color in his own artwork.

The result is a whimsical bringing-to-life of the strange images that spring forth from a child’s imagination. Tim Burton, eat your heart out.
